Incorporated in 1997, City Collections & Bailiff Services Inc. (CCB) has become one of the leading companies in collection and bailiff industry within Manitoba . With more than 25 years of experience in this industry, our staff has attracted many local corporations to use CCB exclusively for all their collection and bailiff needs.
Our company is widely recognized as the leading bailiff and collections service within Manitoba. Some of the reasons why companies have chosen to use CCB exclusively is: our Commercial General Liability Policy for 1 Million Dollars, we are members of The Credit Bureau (all collection files are immediately registered on the debtors credit bureau file through Equifax Canada Inc - Canada’s leading consumer credit bureau), the exclusive use of Dr. Hook Towing (tow operators for the City of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Police Department) for all motor vehicle seizures; our bailiff’s ability to gather relative information about the debtor during the seizure assisting the collection of any deficient after the vehicle is seized: and our staff’s substantial experience and expertise in skip tracing which allows for quick and efficient locating of the asset and/or the debtor.
Both of our collection and bailiff departments can work collectively or independently. An example of working collectively is when a debtor defaults on his vehicle payments and there is an outstanding balance greater than 25% of the vehicles principle value. Our client submits the following to our office: the personal property security agreement, any relevant information about the debtors and/or the vehicles whereabouts, an indemnification form, and their delivery preference.
Once our office has received these documents, along with a drafted warrant, we locate the vehicle or heavy equipment, execute the warrant, prepare a condition report (if requested), and deliver the unit to our clients preferred location (i.e. Adesa Auction, Associated Auto Auction, Canadian Fleet Service or one of their dealerships).
When delivered to an auction house (i.e. Adesa Auction), the vehicle is placed in a secure compound for a maximum of 21 days.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of bailiff seizures, CCB’s bailiffs are dedicated to interacting with all debtors in a professional and courteous manner while providing our clients with cost-effective and efficient service. One example where a bailiff seizure is highly sensitive is when the vehicle is located on reservation lands. CCB’s professional work with the debtor to arrange the removal of the vehicle from reservation lands and arrange for the debtor to pay any additional charges related to the unit/vehicles removal (i.e. towing charges and or 2nd Bailiff driver). Now keep in mind the retrieval of vehicles on Reservation land are difficult.
Our company is very interested in pursuing a long-term business relationship with your company and providing your company with professional, efficient and cost effective collection and bailiff services throughout Manitoba.
I would like an opportunity to meet/speak with you to further discuss how our company can be of service to your company. If you have any questions or would like to discuss repossessions/collections, please do not hesitate to contact us.
